PATHFINDER RIDES 2022

23rd And 24th July

General Ride Instructions.
The Pathfinder Rides are a cycling event in which participants must navigate their own route to finish at the International Bomber Command Centre on the weekend of Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th July between 11:00 and 16:00.

All entrants must be entirely self-sufficient for food and water. The organisers provide no refreshment stops.
All entrants are responsible for their own SELF RECOVERY PLAN in the event of an emergency or a mechanical issue. In the case of an emergency, you should call the appropriate emergency service. All entrants should carry a mobile phone for such use.
Mobile mechanical assistance provided by GIANT LINCOLNSHIRE will only be available within the vicinity of Lincoln, and their attendance is at their discretion.
The IBCC manages all ticketing and payments.
Please note that Individual tickets do not include a timed entry into the Chadwick Centre Exhibition. However, that is an option you can purchase separately.
Children under 16 taking part in the Pathfinder Rides must be accompanied. A family ticket is available.
All riders should watch the two videos on the website to help in their preparation.
Hold on to your rubbish when riding. The easiest way to respect the environment when riding is to pocket your rubbish until you find a bin or get home.
YOUR SAFETY ON THE OPEN ROAD
As a rider on any route to The IBCC, whether in a marshalled area or not, you must not put yourself in a position on the road to endanger yourself or other road users.
In the event of an accident on the road near you, please assist where possible.
In an Emergency call 999.
REMEMBER - SAFETY FIRST AT ALL TIMES

YOUR SAFETY AT THE IBCC
Your arrival instructions will be sent to you by mail before the event. Your designated point of approach will be dependent upon your starting point.

Upon arrival, you will be directed to The Spire for a photograph.

After which, you will be directed to the secure cycle parking area.

The majority of roads and pathways on site are gravel, so be aware that you will be riding on and parking on this, or in some cases, grassed areas.

Please respect this as the War Memorial site.

In the event of a fire, please obey the marshals and their instructions and muster at the far western (behind the spire) or Eastern edges of the site.

OUR SAFETY AND LEGAL DISCLAIMER
Our Marshals and helpers are giving up their time so that you may have a great day; please respect their instructions.

A reminder that you are responsible for all of your own Insurances at all times: that includes Theft and Damage Insurance.

The Organisers of The Pathfinder Rides accept no legal liability for accident, injury, loss or damage incurred whilst attending The Pathfinder Rides 2022, irrespective of any guidance or instruction from Officials, Marshals or Representatives of The Pathfinder Rides and The IBCC, and you take part at your own risk.

It is your responsibility to ensure the safety of yourselves, the general public and event attendees.
